Our website uses Google Analytics, a web analytics service provided by Google, Inc. (“Google”).  Google Analytics uses “cookies” (see below) to help the website analyse how users use the site. The information generated by the cookie about your use of the website (including your IP address) will be transmitted to and stored by Google on servers in the United States.  Google will use this information for the purpose of evaluating your use of the website, compiling reports on website activity and providing other services relating to website activity and internet usage.  Google may also transfer this information to third parties where required to do so by law, or where such third parties process the information on Google's behalf.  Google will not associate your IP address with any other data held by Google.  You may refuse the use of cookies by selecting the appropriate settings on your browser, however please note that if you do this you may not be able to use the full functionality of the website.  By using the website, you consent to the processing of data about you by Google in the manner and for the purposes set out above.

COOKIES

Cookies are small text files that are placed on your computer by websites you visit.  Cookies help make websites work and provide information to us about how users interact with our site.  We use this information to improve our website.  By using our website, you agree that we can place these types of cookies on your device.

DATA COLLECTION AND USE

When you submit your information to us (for example, when making an online enquiry, signing up to our mailing list, requesting product information, requesting a quotation or purchasing a product) we will record basic personal information about you, such as your name and email address.  

Opted-in contact details are collected via our website using MailChimp.  Their privacy policy is available for review here mailchimp.com/legal/privacy. 

Our internal systems (e.g. for order processing) store data securely in the cloud at Microsoft’s West Europe data centre.  Geo-replication may be used to protect against data loss.  Microsoft privacy information is available for review here privacy.microsoft.com/en-gb.  This policy is backed by Microsoft’s agreements and reaffirmed by the adoption by many Microsoft services of the world’s first international code of practice for cloud privacy, ISO/IEC 27018.

Locally stored information is backed up to and stored securely in the cloud using Carbonite.  Their privacy policy is available for review here www.carbonite.com/terms-of-use/privacy-policy.

Use of the above 3rd party vendors may result in data being transferred outside of the European Economic Area.

We will not process special categories of personal data such as race, ethnicity, religious or political opinion.  We design our systems and processes in such a way as to minimise the use of personal data.  We will only collect personal data that we need to meet the requirements of your enquiry/purchase/request.

We may collect contact information from, for example, public data available on the internet, for the purpose of cold calling in accordance with Article 16 of the European Charter of Fundamental Rights, the “freedom to conduct a business” in the interests of providing high quality goods and services, while observing the following safeguards:

• All phone numbers will be checked for TPS/CTPS registration prior to use.  Any numbers found to be registered will not be used unless full consent is given.
• Personal data processed will be limited to, but not necessarily including Name, Company Name, Company phone number and/or direct dial phone number, email address, Position/Job Title.
• The number of calls will be limited to once every three months to reduce the level of inconvenience unless further consent is given, or other contact is ongoing, for example, to follow up a requested email.

DISCLOSURE AND SHARING OF YOUR DATA

We will not to sell, trade, rent or share any personally identifiable information to others.  We will send your personally identifiable information to others only if:

• We have obtained your express consent to share the information
• We need to share your information to provide the service or product you have requested
• We need to send the information to others who work on behalf of Cutting Edge Tooling Ltd to provide a service or product to you
• Cutting Edge Tooling Ltd is subject to a take-over or merger in which case the information will be disclosed to the new owners on the understanding that they will protect the information and only use the information in substantially the same way as previously
• We must respond to court orders and any other legitimate request by authorities with which we must comply

Internally, we limit access to personal information about you to those Cutting Edge Tooling Ltd. employees who we believe reasonably need to come into contact with that information to provide products or services to you or in order to do their job.

DATA RETENTION

Information will be held and used for as long as permitted for legal, regulatory, fraud prevention and legitimate business purposes.  Your information we use for marketing purposes will be kept with us until you notify us that you no longer wish to receive this information.

EMAILS FROM US

We will send customers email notifications regarding enquiries/purchases (such as quotations, order confirmations, invoices and statements).  Only if you have specifically requested will we contact you with additional information such as future offers, product updates and newsletters. SECURITY

We take the security of your data very seriously.  Firewalls are in place to restrict access to information from unapproved locations.  All access to information is restricted by password and/or secure key.  Our PCs, workstations, devices and network are protected from viruses, malware and ransom ware by way of industry leading security software.

Whilst we undertake to maintain the highest possible levels of security practical to protect data, it should be realised that no data transmission over the Internet or information storage technology can be guaranteed to be 100% secure, and there is always some risk of unauthorised access.  Cutting Edge Tooling Ltd. cannot be held liable for any such breach of security.  Any information submitted to us is done so at your own risk.

UPDATES TO OUR PRIVACY POLICY

Cutting Edge Tooling Ltd. reserves the right to change the content of this Privacy Policy at any time without prior notice.  If we decide to change our Privacy Policy, we undertake to post any changes on our website, so you are always aware of what information we collect, how we use it, and under what circumstances we disclose it.  Therefore, we recommend that you check the Privacy Policy regularly.

YOUR RIGHTS

You may contact us if you have any questions about this policy, if you would like to see a copy of the information that we hold on you, if you would like that information to be corrected or even request for it to be deleted.  If you withdraw your consent or opt not to be provided with information for the purposes set out in our Privacy Policy, we may not be able to provide you with the requested service/product.
